Keyboard shortcuts reduce context switching between keyboard and mouse. Below is a practical reference organized by task. Shortcuts follow common Windows / Excel desktop conventions (Microsoft 365 and recent Excel versions).

## Navigation

| Shortcut | Action |
| -------- | ------ |
| Ctrl + Arrow key | Jump to the edge of the current data region |
| Ctrl + Page Up / Page Down | Move to the previous / next worksheet |
| Ctrl + A | Select all (press again to select the whole sheet) |
| Ctrl + Space | Select the entire column of the active cell |
| Ctrl + G or F5 | Open **Go To** |
| Ctrl + End | Move to the last used cell on the sheet |
| Ctrl + Home | Go to cell A1 |
| F4 | Repeat the last command (when supported) |
| F6 | Cycle focus between worksheet, ribbon, task pane, and status bar |
| F7 | Spell check |

## Data entry and editing

| Ctrl + D | Fill down from the top cell of the selection |
| Ctrl + R | Fill right from the left cell of the selection |

| Ctrl + - | Delete cells, rows, or columns |
| Ctrl + F3 | Open **Name Manager** |
| Ctrl + E | Flash Fill (when Excel detects a pattern) |
| F2 | Edit the active cell |
| F3 | Paste a name into a formula (when a dialog is open) |
